Now we all know how Oprah lost weight and gained back 40 pounds in the last couple of years. Oprah herself had confessed to it and reveals that the reason that she had let that happened to her was that she had taken herself off her priority list.
She was working 14 hour days,doing recordings for her shows,having countless meeting,hardly had time for breakfast and lunch and started having that one big meal at the end of a long day. This is a familiar scenario with so many of us who go to work,come home then do the shopping,cooking and cleaning and take care of everybody and everything else except ourselves.
Oprah says,this year she is putting herself back on the list and that is exactly what we need to do as well. If weight loss is our goal and we end up putting ourselves last on the list everyday,it is never going to happen.
When we plan our day,a time has to be set aside for our workouts and we also need to set aside time to plan our meals. As we get older,there is no other way to stay in shape except for exercise and eating right.
Oprah’s new schedule includes exercise time at 6.15am and a whole weeks’meals all planned out which she can repeat. Now,if Oprah being Oprah,after all these years of fighting fat has resorted to this to save herself from being overweight,we are no different.
