
Dave Nuku (Blue Team)
Originally from Wellington,New Zealand,Dave Nuku is based in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia,where he is the regional fitness manager and trainer at Fitness First Asia. Fitness First is the world’s largest health club company.
Married and father to a young daughter,Dave has lived and worked in South East Asia for the past 7 seven years. He is a personal trainer and a group exercise instructor and works directly with over 1500 personal trainers and fitness managers throughout the Asia region in the Philippines,Hong Kong,Indonesia,Singapore,Malaysia and Thailand.
Dave has also authored a series of books called BodyFirst that has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide and is no stranger to the big and small screen as he worked as a personal trainer in his home town training the cast and crew of the Lord of The Rings trilogy.
Walking the talk,Dave is an avid fitness enthusiast and competes regularly in local and international running events. He holds a diploma in exercise science and has worked towards bringing cutting edge fitness training certification to fitness professionals in Asia.
Dave will be leading the Blue Team against Kristy Curtis’s Red Team in The Biggest Loser Asia. He says his ability to build trusting relationships with the contestants will enable him to coach,motivate and inspire them towards becoming Asia’s Biggest Losers.
Let’s see if Dave’s experience in working with the different nationalities in the South East Asia region will help him shine alongside the well loved Blue Team trainer of The Biggest Loser US version,Bob Harper.
