The Biggest Loser Asia Season 2:Episode 8

The Biggest Loser Asia Season 2 Episode 8 Recap…

Every week there’s something new and this week was no exception.  I’ve always suspected that a lot more goes on behind the scenes and we had a glimpse of it in this episode.  It was the first time we saw how team members actually discuss and know beforehand how they are going to vote.  I guess it is too important to leave it to last minute decisions.  Although there must be occasions where contestants keep their votes secret,it must be rare.

I have to say that I was extremely impressed with how Fish went out on a limb to save her team mate and friend Genghis from being voted out and to what extent friends can be persuaded to fight your cause.  It couldn’t have been easy to persuade Nai who professes fair play,to change his mind and vote.  The fact that Fish,Genghis and Nai joined hands to vote out Saw does leave Lori out of the loop a little bit.  If the game does not break into individuals in the next episode and red team went into elimination again,Lori does have reason to get worried.

However Saw looked like he didn’t see it coming at all.  Nonetheless he has been at the bottom of the charts and should have been prepared to be sent home.  The only way to stay in the game here is to make sure you work hard enough at working out and eating right so that you win the biggest loser title in your group for the week and gain immunity from elimination.  This is of course easier said than done.  There is no way to ensure being tops every week as you never know when you can end up plateauing.  Being the team favourite will also not guarantee a free run as the tides will turn once you’re peceived as a major threat.  At the end of the day a game will be game where luck plays a part.

It must have been a boost for the red team to win this week’s word puzzle challenge thanks to Lori while the blue team could not decipher their sentence right up till the end.  The prize was a fun game of golf with their trainer Kristy.  Now let’s take a look at this week’s chart.

The Biggest Loser Asia Season 2 Episode 8 Weigh-In Results

Lori and Saw were chosen by their team to sit out the weigh-in.

Red Team:Fish is leading the chart at 25% with Nai at her heels at 24.82%.  Lori is the week’s biggest loser which gave her immunity against elimination.  Saw who got eliminated was the smallest loser as well as being at the bottom of the chart.  So far there hasn’t been any complains against Saw’s dedication to the program but yet he has consistently produced poor results.

Blue Team:Raj is top of the charts with 22.92%.  Each of them lost 4kgs although Jon should have lost more considering his weight.

Overall:  Fish,Nai and Raj are 1st,2nd and 3rd respectively.  Superwoman Fish is the biggest threat so far.  I don’t know how she manages to lose big numbers despite being the smallest.

Hi Shamala ,honestly I just couldnt understand why I couldnt pull big number despite my efforts maybe is as simple as putting too much stress on myself throughout the competition being one of the largest guy among a group of large guy ,stress is not good for weigh loss..

But I am glad I am part of this whole experience ,I will eventually reach there maybe just a little slower compared to the rest but slowly but surely I will get there …

btw my weigh loss for week 8 was 4kg and not 3kg hence a higher percentage but I am still at the bottom ..

    thanks

Wow Saw thanks for dropping by…very sorry about the mistake, corrections will be make…thanks for taking the trouble to point it out,I'm very bad when it comes to numbers!

It must have been hard to workout just as hard as the rest but lack in the results. Weight loss is a monster that we must conquer. It will throw all kinds of obstacles at us. I am facing a bad period too where I just cannot cross below 60kgs. So I can understand your frustations.

I think people underestimate the damage that stress hormones, cortisol, can do to our bodies. You must be more relaxed now although the finals is there. But I'm glad that you're still positive and I want to see you succeed. Your success will motivate others who find it hard to lose weight too.

GOOD LUCK SAW!!! Our prayers are with you!!!
