I actually didn’t know it was going to be another repeat day,and there I was sitting in front of the tv with my pen and notebook ready at 9pm. Can’t say I was really disappointed though, because episode 4 was a favourite,so didn’t mind watching it again.
This time I get to be more personal without having to write a whole issue on an episode. There is something though that has missed my attention these past weeks. I realised that the weight lost during the weigh-ins was not calculated as percentage of body weight lost. The American Biggest Loser show changed to percentages in the second season onwards and it definitely felt as a fairer approach.
This explains some of Goddess Leonore’s worries though not her moaning. Let’s hope The Biggest Loser Asia switches to percentages too, because smaller people cannot pull big numbers as easily.
My most favourite part of each episode is the training sessions. That is where you get to see the contestants giving it their all and going through pain. Seeing them huffing and puffing never fails to inspire me even if I’ve watched them 5 times before.
I also loved it when Kristy got on the spin bike together with her team to motivate them. It showed that she was willing to do whatever it takes to ensure a win which is exactly what she did.
Episode 5 of The Biggest Loser Asia is set to be aired on the 5th January 2010,which is next Tuesday at 9pm Malaysian time (on Hallmark of course). It will be the first episode for the new year and I count every overweight Asian who is following the program as extremely lucky because it is an hour of pure motivation.
