Is there such a thing as ‘the best diet’? In today’s world where we are exposed to the myriad of diet programs there never is one best diet.
Diets work best when they work for you. The problem with special diets si that they do not treat the problem. If they work the results are temporary and the weight is put back on once you go back to your regular eating habits.
We most definitely do not want to become a yo-yo dieter. It is no fun gaining back the weight and having to go through the whole emotional struggle of starting another diet, staying the course, feeling deprived and achieving some weight loss only to go through another cycle when you lapse.
I have been through these phases and know the outcomes only too well. The best diet starts with the awareness of what bad foods do to you and after that to genuinely set a target of where you want to see yourself ultimately in terms of eating for life.
What we have been taught in school stays true till today. The food pyramid should be the basis of our diet. We can reduce calories but not cut out food groups. The body needs all types of nutrition offered in a varied diet to make it an efficient fat burning machine.
Without going to extremes try adopting healthy eating as part of your lifestyle. When eating healthy becomes a habit, you are already halfway there in cutting calories for weight loss. Coupled with exercise, losing fat will be the most natural outcome.

Hi Shamala….love the infos given as i need alot of motivation to start exercising. I'm in my mid 50's and is very challenging to start exercising after work. mornings are a hastle busy getting things done before going to work. please need your expertise on how to get started,
Very proud of you BOBBY!! Exercising is one of the best things you could do for youself. Regardless of age,the human body is stronger than we give it credit for. All you need to do is set a beginner's target…say 10-15 mins a day for the first 3 days…and gradually work it up to 40 mins. Of course it shouldn't be a walk in the park kind of exercise.. something that'll get you breathing slightly heavily.
If you're tight for time in the morning,I suggest you do it first thing after coming home from work. Don't even sit down…get changed n get moving. Just 15 mins and you'll be free for other things the rest of the evening. Keep me posted
Fantastic website you got here, best content yet!
This domain seems to get a great deal of visitors. How do you promote it? It gives a nice unique twist on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to post about is the most important thing.
