Fad diets are diets that promise quick weight loss in a short period of time. Since we hear them being mentioned and advertised so often we begin to believe their true.
Despite my doubts I fell victim to their promises and enrolled in a weight loss clinic some years back. For the big bucks I paid, not only did I have to undergo painful and prickly sensations of their so called fat-melting electric machine,I had to eat healthy and complete an hours’exercise daily as well.
Although I did lose weight,I didn’t complete the program. I found it silly that I still had to watch what I ate and exercise, the two things I thought I could avoid doing in the first place. The weight came back on and I was back to square one.
Then I gave diet pills a try. The results were worse. I didn’t even lose a pound. These two experiences were enough to confirm what I already knew long back, that these weight loss programs that cost hundreds and thousands were really about making profits for the company.
I wish I had listened to my good sense and saved my money from these preying vultures. One fad diet is no different from the other. Up till today I have not met one person who has had real success with them.
If these weight loss companies really helped us,they would put themselves out of business. So why should they help us lose weight?
