This is a controversial topic even for me. After years of believing that coffee and the addiction to it is bad for you,now comes the news that it is all good and even aids in weight loss, and my favourite trainer Bob Harper encourages it.
Old habits die hard though. With more than just a little bit of skepticism I have introduced coffee back into my life after years of being afraid of caffeine addiction. Although I partly did it because I wanted to have something other than water at times,it seems that new research has found coffee to be beneficial in many ways including aiding weight loss.
Apparently these new findings have been out a few years but somehow it has been late in reaching me probably due to my involvement in things other than weight loss research until recently. Anyway,I used to wonder why those millions of Americans who practically survive on coffee never reported adverse effects.
In fact they were just getting healthier with every cup from the looks of it and here I was trying hard to give up coffee for good. But it’s still good news and the trick is to stay within the stipulated limits. Too much of a good thing can be bad and coffee is no exception.
It’s a relief that blog posts are dated so that if new findings found coffee bad again my reporting will be in line with the times, although I don’t think something like that is likely to happen. This lively substance has been given a clean bill of health by almost every health body in the US.

shamala, coffee with milk is still not good right?
Hi Somasundram,
I don't see why coffee can't be taken with milk since milk is wholesome. It is cream and sugar that we are advised to avoid with coffee. I normally take my coffee with milk as it helps cut down on the bitterness as I "used"to be one of those people who liked their drinks very very sweet!
Will this stop snoring all together?
Hi Blossom (love your name)!
At this point I'm not really clear on the connection between coffee drinking and snoring but the common consensus seems to be that reducing coffee intake could reduce your snoring.
In regards to weight loss, what I do know is that excess fat can narrow your pharyngeal passage and cause you to snore. If this is the case then losing weight through exercise is remedy. Unfortunately since snoring and the various causes of it is quite a wide topic,I'm unable to cover it all here!
